![]() I’m not sure whether that stems from the ingrained habit of poring over details like this in my day job, or whether it’s just my personality! As a writer, I tend to agonize over the most minute details – I can scrutinize a comma for hours. I just wanted to do my best to make the process as smooth as I could. I wanted to be as professional as possible and wanted to deliver the cleanest manuscript I could. ![]() I think I was an associate editor, assisting two more senior editors, when my first novel sold to Viking. How did your day job prepare you for being on the other end of a project for the first time? You were an editor before you were a published author.
